The system consists of wireless temperature probes that transmit data to a centralized 2G data gateway. The gateway transmits data to a web server via the cellular network. The data is processed by the server and securely backed up. Different actions can be set for different alert levels. Real-time data can be viewed from any internet-connected PC using free Windows-based software. Additionally, customized weekly reports can be generated and emailed; these can be used to demonstrate compliance with site operating procedures for internal audit and insurance purposes.
